  • Referral System

Okay. So I've thought of this idea myself, and as far as I'm concerned, no other CA hacks uses this.

So you know the optional spammer option that you guys are probably adding or is already added and I'm ignorant? The one that nobody uses (or will use, because I'm quite sure that it's not on the loader yet.)? What if that spammed the normal advertising stuff, except it also had unique code for each hack user. Ex: Whenever I spammed, I would spam: SinfulEXP! Some cool advertising sentence here! Use my referral code: 10X3B9! And someone else would spam: SinfulEXP! Some cool advertising sentence here! Use my referral code: 51GA4A!

So you would have to add another field to the registration page labeled "Referral Code (optional):".

If you're thinking, look bro. Not many people would take the time to put your referral code in there. Well, what about this? If the registering user inputs a valid referral code, then they will get 1 free day of VIP or something like that. One referral would appear in the referrer's account. So, instead of the above example, this would be the spammer: SinfulEXP! Some cool advertising sentence here! User my referral code: 10X3B9 and get 1 day free VIP! (Of course, it wouldn't be bold.)

There could be rewards for the referrer, so it would be a win-win-win; We (SinfulEXP) get another user and more people advertise for us, the referrer can get rewards at certain referral benchmarks, and the referred user can get VIP for free! (One day. )

Sounds like a plan to me.

Credits for basic referral system goes to Ascend's mentioned hack site.

What happens if somebody decides to fake referrals via proxies and an autofill form method?

I'm pretty sure that Mat and the dev/coders would have to code quite a bit to protect from that stuff. Plus, it's quite a bit of work for just like a week of VIP rewards. Maybe later on, when we get a larger member base, that might happen but we'd still have time to develop protection codes.

Plus, don't you think that we're smart enough to detect that kind of things? We could do a system where you request rewards and, after review, it's good to go. I know there'd be different IPs and all but I'm sure there would be a difference between real and fake referrals.

I'm pretty sure people would refer their friends to register on a blank username, make a few posts, or leave... or they will hire somebody from a site such as microworkers to do the work for them, paying them literally 0.10c per lead/registration.

          To ABS users,

Never was likely not trying to make it sound like it was a totally original idea. He probably just meant that he thought it would be a good idea to use here. If you're just going to bash our members and talk shit, go back to your own site.
